MJS Agility "Special" award 2016

Picture
Congratulations go to David with Tazer who was awarded with our MJS AGILITY "SPECIAL" AWARD FOR 2016 after class today. We chose to award it to this partnership as they have both worked extremely hard throughout the year. Tazer lost an eye as a pup when he got scratched by a cat, this meant he missed out on socialisation etc, but undeterred David has put in lots of time and effort to help Tazer overcome problems. It's always a pleasure to see them completing the agility courses. Very well deserved.

Fergus is a handsome lad !

Picture

At last I have managed to get a photo of Ferg!  He has qualified and been to crufts twice and I hope to qualify him again this year and then he will retire at the end of the year as he will be 4 in June and concentrate on agility (if he can get his nose off the floor) - lol !!!

Mike & Julie's Dog Vegas Wedding Ceremony

Picture
Mike & Julie celebrated their wedding at Dog Vegas show in Winterton, Nr Scunthorpe, on the evening of Saturday 24th August 2013 with lots of their agility friends. A huge thankyou to all at Dog Vegas for making it such a special occasion, it was certainly a wedding to remember! Special thanks go to Kev Kenny for his ceremonial duties which he performed as only Kev could!
To Melissa Hovell & Anthony Bates our wonderful bridesmaid & best man :)
To Jackie Kenny for all the arrangements and the gorgeous Mr & Mrs Stallard wedding rosettes.
Dave & Sue for saving the day by making cake 'A' frame disasters not quite so disasterous!
Lisa for the wedding transport & doggy bandanas :)
Dave Roberts for coming back out of DJ retirement for the 2nd time to give us a fabulous disco and everyone who helped blow up balloons.
To The Springers Agility Club for the surprises :)
To Lyn for standing in as photographer at such short notice.

Last but by no means least, thankyou to everyone who came to help us celebrate as only agility folk can....definately a party to remember! ;)

Winter Warning......

Picture
With winter upon us the roads are now being gritted, if you walk your dog on treated roads or paths please make sure that their paws are washed in fresh water once back home so as to remove the salty grit. The grit not only contains salt but also anti-freeze which is dangerous and an irritant to both dogs and cats so watch for them licking their paws excessively too. Anti-freeze tastes sweet to animals and so they love to lick at it :(

Training during winter

Picture

Unless we let you know otherwise, training during the winter months will go ahead as usual. Should the road down which the training area is based become unsafe due to the weather conditions we will notify members of cancellations etc. Because we know how much our members and their dogs enjoy the fun of agility we will endeavour to keep the training on if at all possible.
